I need to start taking pictures and sketching again. I'm getting out of touch. I want to go museums, and visit beatiful scenery. Thank goodness I went to Edmonton this weekend instead of staying here. I would be going insane right now otherwise. I got to take B for his first IKEA and MEC experiences. I was so proud to be there. I spent quite a bit of money, then came home to a lovely surprise. I had a pay adjustment on my check this week, large enough to cover my entire trip to Edmonton. I bought myself some toys, a heart rate monitor, a bike computer, a lexan wine glass, and a sheep skin mat. Ah...I love to shop. I needed a little spree.

Whee, what a weekend. I got to drag B for his first visits to both MEC and IKEA on Saturday. That excites me a great deal. One can't go through life without such an experience.

I lay awake at night waiting for life to happen. It's like when the big dark clouds hang overhead and you just wait, either for the sky to open up, or for the weather to break. I know not what lies ahead. I know only that I cannot control it. All that belongs to us are our actions.

It's a miracle! I can get my palms flat on the floor in uttanasana (standing forward bend), and my heels are almost on the ground in adho mukha svanasana (downward-facing dog). I can't stop or it will all go to hell. Please let me be dedicated this time! My psoas on the other hand...rough shape.

Christie is safely back in Hali, and I'm begrudgingly back at work after a weekend very different than last. The parties and hoopla of last weekend subsided. Most of us who were left behind spent the weekend cleaning and relaxing. I cleaned enough to make our place habitable, but the walls are still disgusting in my opinion. Did a little yoga this weekend to get myself moving again. Now I'm all stiff. I took tonight off and I'll have to get at it again tomorrow. The highlight of the weekend was Saturday night, went to see Kung Fu Hustle. I highly recommend it.
