What a great night. The snow was fast and clean, and my skis were running beautifully in nice smooth s-turns, until *THWAP!* After a jolting blow, I flew into the air, wrenching my knee as my boots pulled out of my skis, losing my poles, and tumbling in a cloud of white fluff. Some tall, lanky foreign man in an impressive purple ski suit had just run me over. Although I had been skiing in a nice, slow, predictable manner he manage to run over the back of my skis at break-neck-speed. Aside from a very tender right knee I have recovered from the shocking event. Time to go fill my hot water bottle and rest.
